Tuesday 8.24.10 General Chem
Today We:
- Watched the safety video and did the worksheet, then discussed the worksheet
- I checked for goggles (do you have them or do you need them)
- Updated supplies for people still bringing them in
- Started the Lab Safety Orientation (just a bit...)
- Handed out the Safety Contract - get it signed and return it by FRIDAY
For Tomorrow:
- Have the Chapter 1 Section 1 notes ready (if you don't already have them done)
- Have the Basic Skills #1 (using your calculator) done and ready
- Bring your calculators
- Bring any supplies still missing - thanks!
Plans for tomorrow include:
- Finishing the Lab Safety Orientation
- Discussing any last things on the Safety Contract
- Going over Basic Skills #1
- Discussing Chapter 1 Section 1 notes in Cornell Note Style
- POTENTIAL HOMEWORK: Basic Skills #2 and #3; Notes over Chapter 1 Sections 2 and 3

Find a chemistry-related or science-related article from the newspaper, internet, or magazine (dated 2009 or newer, please!) OR watch a science program on TV (a news snippet, NOVA, something on the History Channel…)
