Happy Friday Everyone! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! :-)
General Chemistry:
Welcome to our new class of parents and students!! I hope you find this page informative and invite you to contact me with comments on how I can make it better for all of you. :-)
Thursday we started off the new term. For Block 2, that meant acquainting ourselves with each other and getting materials. Please be aware of what I need you to get done for me by Monday (signatures from parents on a few documents, having parents fill out the parent form, getting the General Info WS done...) so we can be off and running on Monday with a quick review of material from last term and then on into bonding. For Block 3, we discussed electron dot structures and introductory bonding. For Monday, please have p. 85-87 done.
AP Chemistry:
Thursday we did a lot of 'explaining' about what would be happening this term; more explaining into Friday as well as a diagnostic test from the new 5 in 5 books. On Monday, our focus will return to the textbook where we will finish discussing Chapter 5 - Titrations. Please read AND TAKE NOTES over pp. 216-221 and be ready to cover all of this in one day. Tuesday we will discuss Chapter 5 in your new 5 in 5 books so you may want to work ahead and get that ready to go.
The purpose of this site is two-fold: (1) keep parents and students informed of day-to-day activities of the classes I teach and (2) provide additional/advanced/current information about chemistry for your enjoyment.
Have some fun!
